Observation: Operator sealed the entire floor with a foamy sealant to prevent cockroaches do not enter the food premises however the construction material is not easy to clean and durable.
Corrective Action(s): All construction materials must be smooth, durable, non-toxic, easy to clean, and impervious to moisture. Install baseboards within 3 months time (by February 7, 2017).

Follow up inspection:

-No signs of cockroaches were observed at the time of the follow up inspecton
-Operator's husband has sealed the junctions between the floor and wall with a foamy sealant as a temporary solution to seal entry points.
-Sliding door to enter the food service establishment had a metal strip to prevent a gap (entry point) below it.
-100 ppm chorine sanitizer was available on-site.
-Operator mentioned that they have sanitized all prep. surfaces and have washed and sanitized all food containers.
-Floor below the cooking equipment and nearby areas were cleaned to remove the grease.
-Ecolab provided a service to target cockroaches on November 7, 2017 with the service end time documented as 1:50 AM on their pest control report.
-Closure ORDER was rescinded. Health approval was granted to re-open the food service establishment given that it continues to comply with the Food Premises Regulation under the Public Health Act.

The following actions must be done on a regular basis:
1. Install glue traps along the back wall as an ongoing pest control measure and monitor for signs of recent pest activity.
2. Keep up with regular cleaning to remove food debris and grease in the food premises.
3. Install washable baseboards between the junctions of the floor and walls within 3 months time.
4. Keep all food covered in food storage containers with tight fitting lids. Keep take-out containers covered to protect them from contamination in storage areas. Store all equipment/containers at least 12 inches off the floor.
5. Discard any contaminated food.
6. Wash, rinse, sanitize, and air dry all prep. surfaces prior to use each morning and immediately after each use.
