Observation: The following was noted at the hand washing station at the front counter:
- Bar soap being used
- No paper towels available
- A dishwashing scrub was being stored in the hand wash sink
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that all hand washing stations are equipped with liquid hand soap and paper towels during operations. Bar soap should not be used as it can harbour pathogens on the surface. The hand sink must be free of items so that employees can access it for hand washing.

Comments

Routine Inspection:
- Fruit prep cooler at 3C
- Chest freezers at -17C
- 2 compartment sink provided with liquid hand soap and paper towel
- Chlorine bleach solution with wiping cloth in the front prep area at 200 ppm
- Ice machine is clean
- Dipping well available for ice cream stations
- No pest activity noted during the inspection. Monthly visits by pest control company.
- General sanitation is good

COVID-19 Control Measures:
- Hand sanitizer available for customers
- Physical barrier installed at the front counter
- Masks being worn by employees
- Take out only

Required Action:
- Complete COVID-19 safety plan and have it available on site. A copy of the WorkSafeBC COVID-19 safety plan template was provided to the operator during the inspection.
- Employee health screening must be conducted and documented at the start of every work shift. These records should be kept on file for at least 30 days in event that contact tracing is needed.
