Report of Findings
Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL) received information that the care being provided by Schools Out Surrey may require a Community Care Facility Licence. Licensing conducted an unannounced unlicensed inspection at this address on September 15, 2022 to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA). Licensing observed 31 children and 5 staff onsite. Based on the Licensing Officer’s observations and information provided to Licensing it was determined that Schools Out Surrey - Carla Stewart, was operating an unlicensed facility in contravention of CCALA section 5(a) Operating or advertising without a licence.

The operator is required to immediately reduce the number of children in care to no more than two children unrelated to them. The Licensing Officer will conduct a follow up inspection to confirm ongoing compliance.
