Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Handwashing sink adjacent to sandiwich prep area lacked liquid hand soap. Dispenser was empty.
Corrective Action(s): - Fill dispenser with hand soap - completed at time of the inspection.
- Ensure handsinks are always supplied with liquid soap and paper towel for handwashing.

Observation: - Multiple flies noted within food premises, primarily near dishwashing area. Activity appears to have decreased since previous inspection; however, contiued attention is needed to address/resolve issue.
Corrective Action(s): - Eliminate sources of food and moisture by maintaining a high level of sanitation and changing garbages frequently.
- Continue to maintain pest control contract with regular service frequency and follow all recommendations of Pest Control Technician. If issues persist, contact Pest Control Technician for recommendations and for additonal control measures as applicable.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Food debris/crumbs noted collecting along edges of floor particularly behind prep tables and equipment
- Food debris/spills noted on service counters
Corrective Action(s): - Thoroughly clean edges of floor to remove all food debris. Ensure this is completed routinely to prevent any accumulation.
- Clean up any food debris or spills promptly as this can attract or serve as a food source for pests (eg. flies)
Cleaning was completed at the time of the inspection. Ensure this level of sanitation is maintained.

Comments

- Handsink in back preparation area and near front service area/drive thru were supplied with liquid soap and paper towel. Handsink near sandwich station was supplied with paper towel; however, initially lacked liquid soap - see violation above.
- All coolers which were in use were operating at required temperatures (4C or colder):
- Walk-in cooler 4C
- Undercounter cooler (eggs) 1C
- Sandwich cooler 4C
- Beverage cooler 0/1C
- Milk/cream dispensers 3C (drive thru) 1C (right service counter). Dispenser on left service counter not in use.
- Undercounter cooler (drive thru) 1C
- Walk-in freezer -10C
- Hot holding temperatures maintained at >60C
- Soup 71C, eggs 62C, cooked rice 62C, chicken 68C
- Time tracking in place for bacon. Label present on container with time to be discarded.
- High temperature dishwasher was operational and met required temperature to sanitize dishes. Temperature at dish surface measured 74C
- Quats sanitizer from dispenser at warewashing sink was 200ppm.
- In use wiping cloths kept in sani buckets of quats sanitizer. Concentration of solution checked was 200ppm
- Public washrooms (3) were maintained and supplied with liquid soap and air dryers.
- Staff washroom was supplied with liquid soap and paper towel for handwashing.
- Sanitation satisfactory in customer seating area. Door from customer area to back of food preparation area is now kept closed.
- Pest control contract is in place with monthly service. Reviewed most recent service report (31-Aug-2022). Note: Rodent bait station was noted within back food preparation area. Do not use poison/bait inside food premises. Use traps for monitoring/control. Bait station was removed from food preparation area by staff at time of the inspection.
- Foodsafe requirement met at the time of the inspection - 1 staff member on duty has completed Foodsafe level 1 equivalent.
