Observation:
1) Two dead mice in sticky traps in corner of walk-in cooler
2) Rodent droppings observed in facility:
- behind shelving
- in corners
- on pallets
Corrective Action(s):
1) Dispose of mice in sanitary manner.
2) - Clean all droppings as soon as they are found using a 1:10 bleach solution (1 cup bleach: 10 cups water). Do not vacuum. Pour bleach solution onto droppings and wipe up.
- Seal all potentially entry points
- Remove any clutter
- Follow recommendation of pest control
- Check all foods for rodent damage (droppings or urine stains) - discard all contaminated food

Pest report reviewed; rodent activity noted. Operator showed rodent statistics of facility, comparing 2018 to 2019. Overall activity seems to have decreased due to construction being completed.

General:
- handwashing stations connected to back of washrooms to be upgraded
- construction finished (shipping office, QA/QC lab and lunch room)
- hairnets and lab coats worn by staff

- floor plan has been emailed to health protection office

Temperatures:
- coolers and freezers have been operational for 2 months
- temperatures digitally monitored
- walk-in cooler: 4C
- walk-in freezer: -16C
- operator stated cooler and freezer are mainly for product quality
