Comments

-Premises and equipment maintained in sanitary condition.
-Hot & cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel present for handwashing in food preparation/service area. Ensure designated single compartment sink is used for handwashing.
-Staff and public washrooms supplied with liquid soap and paper towel for handwashing
-Coolers were at acceptable temperatures (4C or colder):
-Walk-in cooler 3C
-Line cooler was 4C
-Sliding door cooler 4C
-Chest freezer was at -15C
-Upright freezer was at -22C
Note: 1 chest freezer and 1 cooler not functioning and not in use.
-No hot holding occurring at the time of the inspection. Reviewed proper re-heating and thawing practices with the Operator.
-Food was wrapped/covered to prevent contamination
-High temperature dishwasher was functioning and met sanitizing temperature requirement. Temperature at dish surface after final rinse was 79C
-Wiping cloths stored in bleach sanitizer solution (100-200ppm chlorine) for use on food contact surfaces. Sanitizer solution (200ppm chlorine) also present in spray bottle.
*Minor mouse droppings noted in corner of shelving under point of sale counter which may be from previous issues. Operator cleaned up at the time of the inspection. Continue to monitor for any further activity. Contact Pest Control technician if further activity noted.
-Reminder: Foodsafe certificates which were issued prior to July 29, 2013 will expire July 29, 2018. Certification will need to be renewed. See foodsafe.ca for information regarding the refresher course. Operator must have Foodsafe level 1 certification and in the Operator's absence, 1 staff on duty must have Foodsafe level 1.
