Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).

The following areas were reviewed for compliance:
· Physical facility
· Health and hygiene systems
· Children’s files – emergency contacts
· Staffing
· Emergency supplies

COVID-19 prevention strategies were reviewed and discussed.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.
Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments

During this inspection, there were 0 children and the manager present. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

9 children are in attendance today and at the time of inspection were out on a walk with 2 staff.

The following was discussed:
· Drop-off/pick-up procedures
· Sanitization procedures
· Handwashing
· Snack preparation
· Facility health & illness policy
· Implementing social distancing measures in the facility

COVID-19 Infection Control Assessment was completed and a copy was given to the manager.

The facility received the CCFL COVID-19 Prevention Resource Package which was dropped off by the LO on May 28, 2020.

This inspection report was discussed with the manager and copy was emailed to the facility on Aug. 26, 2020.
