Observation: There was boxes/containers of food being stored on the floor under prep tables or racks. Items stored on the floor make it difficult to clean the floor and may harbor pests.

Action: Remove all items off the floor and from under tables + shelving racks. Store 6" off the floor.

Observation: The door seal on the white, upright cooler has fallen off the door. The seal will allow cold air to escape + warm air enter.

Action: Replace the seal with a new one, or obtain a new cooler so the door can securely seal closed.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observed staff using Nitrile, disposable gloves incorrectly. Staff washing gloves; staff not changing gloves after completing a task; and staff using gloved hands to handle food instead of utensils. Improper use of gloves will spread germs.

Action: Discussed the proper use of disposable gloves. Continued improper use of disposable gloves will result in NOT allowing the use of gloves in the future.

Routine inspection conducted due to owner change
General
- Coolers 4C or colder; freezer was -16C; hot holding units above 60C; thermometers present.
- Hand sink stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot + cold water.
- High temperatures dishwasher rinse cycle was 71.9C at the plate's surface, as per max/min thermometer
- All foods stored in food grade containers; covered; labelled; stored in groups w/proteins below/separate from RTE foods; and majority of foods stored 6" off the floor.
- No expired foods for sale or in use. FIFO rules being followed.
- General sanitation level is good. Ensure the aluminum foil around the stove range is changed daily.
- Exhaust canopy professionally cleaned on Feb 2019. Next scheduled cleaning is Aug 2019.
- No signs of pests.
- FoodSafe certified staff present. Recommend other staff obtain certificate. FSP + SP approved.
- Cheque for permit fees obtained in the amount of $75.00
- Permit to operatre granted.
