A third follow-up inspection was completed, the following observations were made:
- Morning inspection being done of premises, by management, to identify areas of mice activity.
- Less droppings are being found throughout the premises.
- The hole around the waste pipe from the back prep sink has been covered with a metal plate.
- All bait boxes have been removed from the premises.
- Owner met with the property management company, of the complex, to discuss options to address exterior pest management. Baiting boxes placed around the exterior of the premises.
- The hot water tank room has been cleaned up and there is no signs of activity in there. Good.
- Found a few openings/holes in the walls in the staff washrooms and in the back prep wall by the dishwashing area. Block theses openings up.
- Some droppings were found on the platform under the dishwasher, storing the chemicals. Also found some on the lowest shelf in the dry storage room. Clean and sanitize these areas.
- Remove the cardboard that is covering the shelf where the cleaners are stored. Cardboard is a material that rodents like to use as nesting material.
- Saran wrap was found to be gnawed, in the dry storage room, and possibly being used as nesting material. Store the clean utensils (knives) in a hard plastic container with a tight fitting lid, and discard the saran wrap.
- Great work is being done to eliminate the mice infestation, as activity is lessen each time.
- Discussed inspection results with the owner, no signature obtained due to the pandemic. |
