Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Chemical dishwasher had no detectable chlorine disinfectant. Sanitizer had evaporated from the original pail.
2) Ladle was found to have food residue.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Chemical dishwasher must have a final rinse of at least 50ppm chlorine on the dish surface to properly sanitizer equipment, utensils, and dishware. Sanitizer pail was changed, chlorine was primed and dishwasher had a final rinse of 50ppm chlorine on the dish surface. Ensure staff check the dishwasher chlorine concentration daily to verify dishwasher has at least 50ppm chlorine. Equipment was washed and sanitized.
2) Ensure all equipment is properly washed and sanitized after each use. Ladle was washed and sanitized at the time of inspection.

Observation: A bag of sugar and bag of flour were stored on the floor.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all food items are stored off the floor and protected from potential contamination. Ingredients were moved at the time of inspection.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: Prep cooler and under counter cooler were at 8C. Both coolers have minor amounts of potentially hazardous foods.
Corrective Action(s): Either coolers are to be serviced to ensure they can maintain 4C or less at all time or coolers cannot be used for the storage of potentially hazardous foods. Potentially hazardous foods were moved to a functioning cooler at the time of inspection.

-Front display cooler was at 4C.
-Upright freezer was at -5C.
-Hot holding of rice was greater than 60C.
-Bleach sanitizer spray bottles were labelled and tested at 200ppm.
-Handwash stations accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-Counter top ice machine clean and sanitary.
-Foods by the front cashier area covered and protected from potential contamination.
-Raw meats stored below potential ready-to-eat foods properly stored.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Washroom clean and sanitary.
-FoodSafe Level 1 valid until May 22, 2023.
