Code 301 noted on Routine inspection # BWOI-CS4NZU of May-23-2023 Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)] Observation: Heavy black mould and algae build up observed in the top side of the ice machine where ice is made. Correction: Unit shut off at time of inspect and technician called. Ensure subway manager examines the cleaning to ensure it has been done properly as the top side of the unit will physically need to be scrubbed to remove the mould before it goes through the sanitizing cycle.
