301 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Accumulation of old food and grease debris noted on the metal pizza shelving unit within the walk-in cooler. Ensure the shelving unit is properly and frequently washed and sanitized.
Old food debris was noted on the potatoe presser. Ensure equipment is properly washed and sanitized after each use.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One staff member was on duty at the time of inspection. Staff member was wearing gloves and was performing all of the following tasks without changing gloves: grabbing foods from the hot unit to customer, handling cash/credit card transactions, preparing pizza, wiping hands on a towel after preparing the pizza, opening walk-in cooler doors, grabbing food from the walk-in cooler, and answering the telephone.
Wearing gloves do not replace hand washing. Gloves must be changed when switching between tasks.

101 - Plans/construction/alterations not in accordance with the Regulation [s. 3; s. 4]
Observation: The following alterations were made without health approval:
- relocation of the 3-compartment sink.
- removal of a mop sink
- alteration to the plumbing for the designated hand washing station in the kitchen by doubling stacking it over a laundry sink that's intended to be used as a mop sink.
- installation of a new grease trap underneath the 3-compartment sink.

Operator needs to do the following:
- submit drawings for the alterations. The current/new alterations is subject to new health approval.
- obtain properly written approvals from City of Surrey Building and Plumbing departments or other governing agencies for the alterations. Before making any more changes, submit architectural drawings to health department, City of Surrey, and other governing agencies for review to obtain written approval.
- ensure each sinks of the 3 compartment sink is fillable by a direct faucet connection equipped with hot and cold running water must.
- re-install a mop sink. A mop sink cannot be double stacked with a hand sink with 1 water connection.

Observation: Cut deli meat products were stored in cardboard boxes that were used for other food products. Chopped peppers were stored in grocery baskets. Cut mushrooms were stored in cardboard boxes and covered with newspapers. All food must be stored in a seal food grade container that has been properly washed and sanitized.

Observation: Accumulation of fly activity noted around 3 compartment sink and grease trap area. Grease trap needs to be cleaned as there is a foul smell and the area needs to be thoroughly cleaned to rectify the fly problem.
