305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)] Observation: 1) Back kitchen door leading to the exterior has not been fixed and is constantly propped open because students do not ensure it is fully closed 2) Back door leading to the interior hallway does not have a door sweep flush to the floor Corrective Action(s): 1) Back kitchen door has been on a work order. 2) Remind students to check that the back door is closed entirely. You may consider colored signage as a reminder. 3) Ensure pest entry points are not permitting pests such as rodents to enter the food premises. 4) Provide an email update to the district Environmental Health Officer for corrective actions regarding the pest entry points. -Follow up Inspection -Sanitation of the entire kitchen is being carried out at the time of inspection. -Old rodent droppings are still present in hard to reach areas. -Pest entry points are still present as noted previously.
