PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11480 - CCALA s.7(1)(b)(i) - A licensee must do all of the following: (b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote (i) the health, safety and dignity of persons in care,
Observation: On arrival, lights were off in the basement area of which the Multi-age program operates. A few minutes later, the Licensee and ECEA and 4 children entered the space from upstairs. The space upstairs is not licensed and therefore has not been approved for health and safety by the Township and should not be used to receive children . The 5th child to arrive had already tried gaining access at the front door of the family home. Discussed the requirements of the license and the possibility of changing to an In-home multi age to be able to use the upstairs for occasional care.
Corrective Action(s): Please submit an application to amend your licence is required otherwise ensure that the downstairs area is the only space used to receive the children.
Date to be Corrected: September 26th 2018
