Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standard of Practice (DOLSOP). All care categories were assessed for compliance.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19100 - CCLR s.57(2)(d) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation: Licensing reviewed 7 children's files; 3 were missing their medical practitioner's name and telephone number.
Corrective Action(s): The licensee said she will get the information from the parents and update the forms.

At the inspection dated March 21, 2024, there were 7 children in care with the licensee.
At the inspection, the above noted contraventions were identified.
Please provide Licensing with a written response, by the date noted below, stating how the identified contraventions will be addressed in order to ensure year round compliance.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed. A copy of the report and the corresponding Risk Assessment was emailed to the Manager.
The following items were discussed:
- single use towels only for hand washing
