Observation: High-temperature dishwasher was not operational.
Corrective Action(s): Repair the dishwasher, and ensure it is capable of sanitizing dishes at 180F(82C) or hotter during the rinse cycle (160F/71C required at the dish surface).
All reusable dishware (for church members) is being manually washed, rinsed, and sanitized using two-compartment sink method in the meantime.
Single-use plates, cutlerly, and cups also available. Food served during any catered events are served on single-use/disposable items only.

Comments

- Hand washing sink properly supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
- Bleach sanitizer solution available at 200 ppm in spray bottle. Spray bottle properly labelled.
- Sliding glass door cooler measured at 4C. Equipped with accurate thermometer.
- Upright freezer in storage room measured at -18C.
- Note: one chest freezer and upright cooler previously in kitchen have been removed from facility.
- Ventilation canopy, cooking equipment, coolers maintained in sanitary condition.
- General sanitation satisfactory at time of inspection
- No signs of pest activity noted at time of inspection

- Church has not been hosting events/serving food to the public (unless catered). Reminder that Temporary Food Premises Applications must be submitted to Fraser Health if you wish to serve food to the public. If food is served to the public more than 14 days a year using this kitchen, you will need to be a fully permitted kitchen and meet all current health requirements.
