Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Handwash station hot water tap was not working.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure handwash station is supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels to facilitate proper handwashing. Hot water tap was tightened at the time of inspection.

209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation: 1) Bleach was too strong - bleach out test strip.
2) Foods were uncovered in the cooler units.
3) Raw meats were stored above vegetables.
4) Scoops were stored inside food containers.
5) Mango pulp was stored in an opened metal can.
6) 2 bus pans of rice were stored on the floor, under a prep table.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Bleach must be maintained at 100ppm to 200ppm to sanitize food contact surfaces. Concentrations in excess of 200ppm maybe toxic for human health. To prepare 100ppm to 200ppm bleach, add half a teaspoon of bleach to 1 litre of water.
2) Ensure foods are properly covered and protected from potential contamination.
3) Ensure raw meats are stored below from potential ready-to-eat foods to prevent potential contamination of foods.
4) Ensure scoops are stored in a sanitary manner to prevent potential contamination of foods.
5) Once canned food items are opened, the contents must be transferred to food grade containers to prevent potential contamination of foods.
6) Do not stored foods on the floor to prevent potential contamination of foods.

Observation: Rodent droppings were observed in the dry storage area. Facility is currently serviced by a professional pest control operator.
Corrective Action(s): Clean all areas affected with rodent droppings and sanitize using a 1:10 bleach solution. Monitor for pest activity and contact your pest control operator as needed.

Observation: Bleach sanitizer spray bottle was unlabelled.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all chemicals are properly labelled to identify the contents to prevent accidental mixing and or misuse of chemicals. Containers will need to be relabelled as needed.

-Walk-in cooler was at 4C,
-Walk-in freezer was at -18C.
-Prep cooler was at 4C (top and bottom).
-Under counter cooler was at 4C.
-Sauce cooler was at 4C.
-Outside ice cream freezer was at -21C.
-Sauces are cooled in the walk-in freezer, followed by cooling in the walk-in cooler. Sauces were at 4C.
-High temperature dishwasher had a final rinse temperature of 72C on the dish surface (minimum of 71C required for proper sanitizing).
-Bar area handwash station supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-Equipment was found to be clean and sanitary.
-Washroom clean and sanitary. Handwash station supplied with liquid hand soap and air dryer.
-FOODSAFE Level 1 valid until January 09 2026.
