Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11200 - CCLR s.17 - A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Disinfectant wipes were on the counter in the washroom that is used by the children. They were removed at the time of the inspection.

At this inspection, the above noted contravention was identified.This was addressed at the time of the inspection.

The information contained in the report was discussed with the Licensee. Licensing advised that copies of the report and risk assessment would be mailed to the facility as per request.
