Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Rodent droppings were found on the pizza conveyor oven and other food contact surfaces.
Correction: All surfaces must be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Clean and sanitize all areas affected by rodent droppings immediately.
Comments

-Follow-up inspection to February 26, 2021 (morning inspection). Facility was issued a Public Health Act Closure Order for severe pest infestation.
-Facility was serviced by a professional pest control operator. Service invoice indicated the facility has high pest activity. Facility will be serviced on a monthly basis.
-Pest control operator has sealed entry points and installed monitoring stations.
-Surfaces affected by rodent droppings have been cleaned and disinfected.
-Areas affected with droppings has been cleaned and disinfected.
-Items which cannot be cleaned and disinfected were discarded.
-Poisons have been removed from the facility.
-Continue to follow the advice of the Pest Control Operator and contact Pest Control Operator immediately if the infestation gets worse.
-The conditions of the Public Health Act Closure Order issued on February 26, 2021 have been satisfied. Public Health Act Closure Order has been rescinded. Facility may resume operations.
-Please contact the inspector if you have any questions or concerns.
