Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Improper dispensers, bowls with no handles, were stored within and used for dispensing bulk food.
Corrective Action(s): **Issue corrected at the time of inspection** Operator removed the bowls. Proper dispensers, with handles, must be used for dispensing bulk food items to avoid potential transfer of bacteria from hands to food.

Observation: 20+ flies noted by the back microwave and staff washroom. 10+ Mouse droppings noted in the cabinet below the kitchen handwash station and on the floor near the front casher area.
Corrective Action(s): Clean any areas noted with food debris to remove all food source from the flies.
Sweep, clean and sanitize all areas noted with mouse droppings to allow for monitoring of situation.
As per operator, an external pest control company comes in once a month for inspection and trap placement. Continue to work with the pest company to mitigate and eliminate pest issues.

Observation: Debris and buildup noted in a stove and floor nearby the upright cooler in the serving area. Grease buildup noted on the sides of the deep fryers and fume hood. Dust noted on the ceiling nearby kitchen handwash station.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize the abovementioned areas and maintain in a sanitary condition at all time.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: The 2-door reach-in cooler in the back of the facility was noted with an ambient air temperature of 8.0C. The top cold rail was holding food between 8.5C - 13.9C.
Corrective Action(s): Do not use this cooler to store any cold potentially hazardous items until a technician comes in to service the unit and that it is able to hold food at 4.0C or below. Alternatively, buy a functioning cooler to replace broken unit. All cold potentially hazardous food items that were over 4.0C were discarded by staff and operator. In the future, do not overfill this cooler unit to impede cool air circulation.
