At this inspection there were 23 children, 3 staff and the Manager present. At this inspection, the contravention above was identified. The Manager will send Licensing a written response addressing the contravention and Licensing will review the response. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
The following was discussed/reviewed with the Manager:
· Validation of ECE/A certificates - https://earlychildhoodeducator.gov.bc.ca/Public/CertAndRenewal/Certificate_Validation.aspx and print out the results to keep in staff files
· License amendment process - Licensing should be provided with a copy of proposed floor plan and a document addressing the barriers to be able to thoroughly assess the request
· Staff file requirements - CRC, resume, references, immunization status, ECE/A certificate validation, first aid
· Posting of allergies in a prominent place in the facility
