Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Measuring cups used to measure out juices are kept at room temperature for reuse. Different cups for different juices are kept on counters. Operator claimed that these are washed at the end of the day.
Corrective Action(s): Operator washed and sanitized all measuring cups at the time of inspection. Juices are potentially hazardous foods that require refrigeration. Measuring cups used to take out juices must be washed after each use to prevent cross-contamination. They should be sanitized every 2 hours, if used continuously, to prevent the growth of pathogens that can cause foodborne illness.

Comments

Routine health inspection conducted.

Temperatures:
- Preparation under-counter freezer: -24C
- Standing double-door coolers (2): </= 4C
- Chest freezer: -20C
- Chopped fruits and tea stored in the coolers had an internal temperature of </=4C
- All units had accurate thermometers.

Sanitation:
- Hand washing sinks were adequately equipped with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and disposable paper towels.
- 200 ppm chlorine residual sanitizer was available in all food preparation areas (3)
- 3-compartment sink was equipped with functional plugs.
- Ice machine was in good sanitary condition. Scoop was stored outside the chamber in a clean container.
- Tea machines/holders were in good sanitary condition. The nozzles are washed and sanitized at the end of the day.
- General sanitation was satisfactory.

Storage:
- Food is stored at least 6" off the floor.
- Stainless steel racks are used for dry storage.
- Containers are labelled and dated.

Pest Control:
- No signs of pest activity noted at the time of inspection.
- Back door was closed.

Administration:
- Permit was posted.
- Temperature logs were up to date.

COVID-19 Safety:
- COVID-19 safety plan is available on site.
- Temperatures for all staff are taken and recorded.
- High touch surfaces are disinfected frequently.
- Masks are mandatory.
- Maximum occupancy signs were posted.
