Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Lots of fruit flies appear to be crawling all over several pastries in the pastry case, see video/photo.
Corrective Action(s): Discard all pastries (65 pieces) as they have been contaminated. Deep clean the pastry case and obtain proper covers until fruit fly issue is remediated.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Staff onsite were unable to determine what the safe cooking temperature is when inquiring about how to determine quiche is properly cooked.
Corrective Action(s): Use thermometer to test to ensure it reaches a minimum of 74C. Review this with all staffs.

302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Wet wiping cloth used to wipe steaming wand was left in a container. Repeat.
Corrective Action(s): Place 200ppm Quats sanitizer in the container so the wiping clothes is properly soaked with sanitizer.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A stainless steel milk container was placed in the front handsink. The yellow mop bucket and trolley storing dirty eqiupment were stored in front of the handsink in the back.
Corrective Action(s): Directed staff to remove items in the handsink and relocate the mop bucket so that the handsinks are accessible. Do not obstruct the handsink, it needs to be accessible at all times.

Observation: Two cases of canned chick peas are stored on the floor in front of the walk-in cooler.
Corrective Action(s): Do not store food on the ground, place all food 6 inches off the ground.

Observation: Lots of fruit flies in the front pastry case, a few in the back.
Corrective Action(s): Please have pest control apply proper remediation to fruit fly problem asap.

Observation: Food debris noted in several areas including floor, under microwave, between display cooler and pastry case, display cooler edges/cutting board, flooring under dishwashing sinks, under sandwich prep cooler etc. See photos.
Corrective Action(s): All flooring, counters, eqiupment, cupboards need to be properly cleaned and sanitized. Deep clean must be completed by follow up inspection.

Observation: Water appears to be leaking from condenser above in the walk-in cooler, causing water to pool in the walk-in cooler.
Corrective Action(s): Repair the leaky issue asap and clean the floor.
