Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Staff at 2-compartment sink cutting fruit without a food-grade sanitizer prepared or in use. Operator to ensure staff use a food-grade sanitizer to prevent the growth of pathogenic microorganisms. A dilute bleach solution can be made using 1/2 teaspoon of 5.25% unscented bleach to 1 liter of water. Staff prepared dilute chlorine solution during inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Handwashing sink in meat department filled with dirty dishware and utensils at the time of arrival of Environmental Health Officer. Operator to ensure handwashing sinks are equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels and are accessible at all times to encourage frequent handwashing. Staff removed dirty dishware and utensils from handsink during inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Ice scoop noted to be stored on top of ice machine. Ice scoop must be stored in a clean, washable container at all times to prevent contamination of ice. Staff removed ice scoop and replaced with a clean ice scoop in a clean container during inspection.

Coolers (produce and dairy walk-in, meat department walk-in, display units, 2 standing units) noted at 4C or below.
Freezers (walk-in, display units) noted at -18C or below.
Ice machine noted in sanitary condition.
