Observation: Low temperature dishwasher was not dispensing at least 50 ppm chlorine sanitizer at the plate level.
Corrective Action(s): Repair or re-service the dishwasher to ensure it dispenses at least 50 ppm chlorine sanitizer at the plate level to destroy any potential harmful viruses or bacteria; Correct as soon as possible within 2 weeks. Snacks are provided to children in two classes Tuesday to Friday twice per day (morning and afternoon time) according to the Coordinator.

In the interim, ensure to wash all reusable service utensils/preparation utensils through the low temperature dishwasher and then manually sanitize in 100 ppm chlorine sanitizer in the third compartment sink unit; Effective immediately.

Comments

Designated handsink was properly supplied.
3-compartment sink was supplied with hot and cold running water. Sink plugs were available.
100 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available in the labelled spray bottle.
Refrigeration unit in the main kitchen was at or below 4 degrees C and it was equipped with a thermometer.
Cooler in the second storage room was at or below 4 degrees C. This cooler was not in use.
Freezers in the second storage room were at or below -18 degrees C.
No signs of recent pest activity were evident at the time of inspection.
Coordinator had valid FOODSAFE Level 1 course training (expiration date: June 15, 2023).
Permit to operate was posted.
Signature is not required on this report due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
