Introduction

This inspection is to determine compliance with the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR), Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSOP).
There were 15 children present the time of the inspection
The preschool was in session, Licensing had an opportunity to view the school age records.
The inspection was done in the presence with both the Manager and the Licensee contact.
Please provide written response to how the coded violations have been addressed by April 1, 2020

STAFFING: 12040 - CCLR s.19(1)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation: Staff updated CRC has not been completed
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure CRC is up to date

STAFFING: 12090 - CCLR s.19(1)(f) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Observation: Staff immunization record status is unavailable
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure records are complete

Discussion regarding recording system that reflects the compliance with monthly fire drills, the records that were available was the information for the whole school, preschool program maintains another set.
