Critical Hazards: Total Number: 1
206 - Hot potentially hazardous food stored/displayed below 60 °C. [s. 14(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Cooked foods displayed at room temperature.
Corrective Action(s): Cooked foods that are meant to be displayed must be kept at 60 degrees C or less. Otherwise store them in the cooler and reheat them before serving. Some tandoori chicken and vegetable pakoras were found displayed at room temperature. Operator said the items were prepared less than one hour ago. Operator placed them in the walk-in cooler.
Violation Score: 5

Non-Critical Hazards: Total Number: 5
209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Food stored in open metal can.
2. Washing utensils in double sink while food is in it.
Corrective Action(s): 1. An open can of tomato sauce was found in the walk-in cooler. Unused portions of tomato sauce must be stored in a different, food grade container because the acidity of the tomato sauce can cause the metal can to rust and metal can leach into the tomato sauce. Operator transferred tomato sauce into another container.

2. Cook was observed rinsing out a container in the 2-compartment sink when the sink was full of unpeeled onions. When 2-compartment sink is being used for food preparation, do not wash/rinse food utensils as this may contaminate the food.
Violation Score: 3

212 - Operator has not provided acceptable written food handling procedures [s. 23]
Observation: Food safety plans submitted on June 28, 2017 are incomplete.

Date to be corrected: September 7, 2017.
Violation Score: 3

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Mice droppings found on shelves and floor in upstairs storage area.
Corrective Action(s): Clean up all mice droppings and disinfect the affected areas with bleach and water. Discard any damaged take-out containers. Make sure a professional pest control company places traps in the storage area to help control mice. All paper products/take out containers should be stored inside of rodent proof containers.

Date to be corrected: August 4, 2017
