Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) No bleach sanitizer prepared at the time of inspection (no sanitizer pail and no bleach prepared in 2-compartment sink)
2) Vegetable cutter was found to have dried food debris
Corrective Action(s): 1) While facility is in operation a bleach sanitizer pail (100ppm to 200ppm) and 2-compartment sink (50ppm) must be prepared to allow for proper sanitizing of equipment and food contact surfaces. Bleach sanitizing solutions were prepared at the time of inspection.
2) Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized after each use. Some items may require presoaking prior to cleaning and sanitizing. Vegetable cutter was cleaned and sanitized at the time of inspection.

Observation: A box of raw chicken was stored on the floor of the walk-in cooler.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all foods are stored off the floor to prevent potential contamination of foods. This also allows floors to be properly cleaned and sanitized.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: 1) Lightbulbs in the walk-in cooler are not functioning.
2) 2-compartment sink tap is leaking water.
3) Door seal for the walk-in cooler needs to be repaired or replaced.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Replace lightbulb to allow for proper illumination in the walk-in cooler. Proper light will all staff to properly clean inside the cooler unit. Proper lighting is also required for staff safety.

Walk-in cooler was at 4C.
-Pizza prep cooler was at 4C (top and bottom)
-Donair cooler was at 4C (top and bottom)
-Chest freezer was at -18C.
-Hot holding was greater than 60C. Thermometer present in hot holding unit.
-No donair meat prepared today. Donair meat undergoes secondary cook step in oven or microwave.
-Handwash station accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-Deli slicer was found to be clean and well maintained.
-Foods properly stored off the floor and covered.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Washroom clean and sanitary.
*Chicken was found stored inside an egg box without labels. Facility has an invoice from National Meats (New Westminster) and invoice description matches the product on-site.
