Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13050 - CCLR s.56(1)(c) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation: No evacuation drill was recorded. This licensee said it has not been practiced
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the evacuation drill is recorded and practiced yearly

Comments

At the inspection dated September 18th, 2023 there were 6 children and the License present. At this inspection the above contravention was identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. This report was discussed with the Licensee and a copy provided.

· Earthquake supplies
· Lead in Water
· Valid CRC’s are available, reviewed expiry dates
