Introduction

An unscheduled follow up inspection to the Routine Inspection # JMIA-APTU2P dated August 1, 2017 was conducted. Areas of non-compliance identified at the recent Routine Inspection were reviewed for compliance. Evidence for this report was based on the licensing officer’s observations, review of the facility records, and information provided by the facility staff at the time of the inspection.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #JMIA-APTU2P have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

During today’s the Licensee and 8 children were on site.

Licensing notes that it appears that all previously identified contraventions have been appropriately addressed as follows:
- Children’s files are complete including medical practitioner’s names and numbers, photos, enrollment dates and immunization status
- Safe environment is maintained, sanitizing solution made daily, all plugs covered, paper towels available in washroom, children do not have access to plastic bags
- Outdoor area is maintained- baby gate available to block stair case, resilient surfacing is reshuffled & garbage removed
- Children have access to someone with CPR and first aid
- Attendance records accurately show who is in care

Screen use and active play policies are currently being created and will be given to parents by Friday. Licensing to review at next inspection
