Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Handsink was obstructed with an empty food container and lid. *REPEAT VIOLATION*
Corrective Action(s): Make sure all handsinks are designated and kept accessible for handwashing purposes only. Do not store any food equipment/utensils/food into the handsinks. Failure to comply will result in enforcement action as per Fraser Health's progressive enforcement policy.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Two canned food products were stored inside their opened metal cans inside the prep. cooler in the bubble tea area.
Corrective Action(s): Both products were transferred into food grade containers by the Operator. Review this practice with staff to prevent food from being stored in open metal containers and to protect food from any potential chemical contamination.

305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Backdoor was kept wide open at the time of inspection. Operator mentioned that they must have forgot to close it after receiving a delivery earlier today.
Corrective Action(s): Operator closed the backdoor. Make sure the doors are kept closed when no longer in use (i.e. once the delivery has been received) to protect the restaurant from the entry of mice, rats, cockroaches, and flies.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: Light in ceiling was missing a shatterproof cover.
Corrective Action(s): Operator has a shatterproof light cover on-site however still needs to install it over the ceiling light. Replace the shatterproof light cover over the ceiling light where it is currently missing; Correct within 2 weeks.

Permit to operate was posted.
Handsinks were supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
Walk-in-cooler (2.3 degrees C), Prep. cooler (3.9 degrees C) and bubble tea prep. cooler (1.1 degrees C) were at or below 4 degrees C.
Refrigeration units were equipped with thermometers at the time of inspection.
Temperature records were being maintained for refrigeration units.
Both chest freezers and upright freezer were at or below -18 degrees C.
Hot-held rice was at or above 60 degrees C.
Dishwasher final rinse chlorine sanitizer residual was at least 50 ppm at the plate.
100-200 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available inside the bucket with wiping cloths and spray bottle.
No signs of recent pest activity was evident at the time of inspection.
Ice machines were in a sanitary condition and the scoops were stored separately in a clean empty container and another scoop inside a container filled with ice.
