- Premises has done some structural upgrades to add a bakery to the premises.
- Structural upgrades have been done as per the approved floor plans (bakery equipment on site, demising wall across washroom up to ceiling, dry storage areas set up, three compartment sink with drain board installed, food prep sink installed..etc). All surfaces are finished, smooth and washable.
- Hand wash stations in bakery, roasting room and washroom all had soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water. Note: Soap and paper towel have also been installed at mop sink.
- Bleach available on site. 100ppm chlorine sanitizer available in spray bottle and container with cloths submerged.
- Reviewed manual ware washing procedures - no concerns. 3 drain plugs and test strips available.
- Display cooler 4C and reach in 2 door cooler 4C, freezers -14C and -18C (both two door reach in).
- Good overall general sanitation. No obvious signs of pest activity.
- Bulk food bins had covers and scoop is stored outside of the bins on hooks (staff supervise bulk food containers).
- Manual warewashing sign and hand washing sign provided to operator at time of inspection.
- Premises is approved to start baking. Operator said baking is 10% of the premises operation at this time (10 baked items offered and only 1 is a potentially hazardous food). Only sold at this premises, not provided to any other locations at this time. |
