Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing of Practice (DLSP). All categories of care were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.
Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments

At the inspection dated September 11, 2024 there were 45 children, 9 staff, 1 practicum student and the manager present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
No response is required at this time.

As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

The following was discussed and observed:
- Licensing observed a sheet of rubberized paper in one of the classrooms that was peeling off the wall. The manager said that she ordered a new sheet of paper. Boxes with supplies were observed in the manager's office.
- The paint on two of the classroom doors (on the outside of the door) was observed coming off. Manager said that painters are booked to come and paint the doors in the next few weeks.
