Observation: No sanitizer was available in the front service area where smoothies are made.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure sanitizer is readily available in each food preparation area.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation: Neither hand wash station in the front service area or the back food preparation area had soap in the dispenser. Paper towel, hot and cold running water were available. No issues with accessibility at time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Immediately obtain soap (in a pump style dispenser) for each hand sink and ensure hand wash stations are fully equipped at all times.

Comments

- Premises makes fruit smoothies and fruit desserts.
- No food preparation/handling was taking place at time of inspection.
- All coolers were at 4C or less (Walk in, prep cooler, upright one door retail, display cooler...etc)
- All stored foods appeared protected (ie. off the ground, covered..etc)
- General sanitation satisfactory. No obvious sign of pest activity noted at time of inspection.
- Ice machine appeared clean with scoop for ice stored outside of the ice in a separate container.
- Bleach available on site. 100ppm chlorine sanitizer available in the sanitizing compartment of the warewashing sinks.
- Manual ware washing procedures reviewed at time of inspection.
** A follow up inspection will be conducted to ensure all outstanding items re: sanitizer and hand soap are corrected.
