Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One container of Bush Brand Orange Red food colouring observed on dry storage shelf on site during inspection. Staff voluntarily discarded the container of food coloring during inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Bush Brand Orange Red food colouring is not approved for human consumption as it contains a non-permitted ingredient (INS 122). Do not purchase this food colouring in future. Ensure to purchase food colourings which are from an approves source and which contain Canadian permitted ingredients.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
1. Hand washing station upon entrance into kitchen observed with empty can in the basin. Operator removed the can during inspection.

2. Hand washing station in staff washroom observed not supplied with liquid soap in dispenser. A bar of soap is observed placed next to the hand washing station. Operator voluntarily discarded the bar of soap during inspection.
Corrective Action(s):
1. Maintain all hand washing stations unobstructed and adequately supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel to ensure staff are washing their hands properly and at adequate frequency to prevent contamination of food. Do not place any items in the hand washing sink basin to obstruct the hand washing sink. Do not use bars of soap to wash hands as the bars of soap can harbour harmful bacteria.

2. Place liquid soap at the hand washing station in the staff washroom. Submit a photo of the liquid soap dispenser to the health inspector via email.
