- Overall sanitation of store retail and warehouse area is satisfactory.
- Coolers (Grocery walk-in, dairy walk-in, produce walk-in, retail coolers) were operating at 4C or colder
- Freezers were maintaining food products in a frozen state
- Temperature of cold holding units are digitally monitored (Microtherm)
- All food products stored off of the floor on pallets or shelving
- Handwashing sink in produce prep area supplied with liquid soap and paper towel
- Quats sanitizer present from dispenser at sink in produce prep area. Reviewed cleaning and sanitizing of knives and cutting surfaces with Manager in training.
Note: Box and misc. tems noted on prep table in produce prep area. Keep prep table (with cutting board) top clear and available for intended use ie. cutting watermelons, prepping produce.
- No signs of pest infestation noted at time of the inspection. Pest control contract in place with weekly service. Follow recommendations of Pest Control Technician regarding sanitation and pest proofing measures. Assistant Store Manager report weather stripping is being replaced at back doors as identified by Pest Control Technician. Confirm once complete.
Note: Some clutter noted in warehouse area where bulk goods are stored. Ensure this area is kept clean and organized. Dishwasher present for washing and sanitizing scoops for bulk bins - ensure unit is operational. Not turned on at time of inspection. Supervisor reports most bulk goods dispensed by gravity fed hoppers. Scoops for remaining bins (candy, spices) are generally manually washed and sanitized.
