Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All categories of care and services were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19100 - CCLR s.57(2)(d) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation: Out of six child files, one file was missing the child's MSP number, doctor's name & phone number and emergency contact(s).
Corrective Action(s): Manger explained they have requested this information from the family.

Comments

At this inspection dated March 14, 2025 there were 15 children and 6 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. The facility is required to take corrective action to bring the facility into compliance and provide a written response to Licensing Officer. The Licensing Officer will review the response.
As part of this routine inspection a facility risk assessment tool was completed, and a copy will be provided.
The inspection findings were reviewed with the manager on site at the time of inspection and a copy of the inspection report and risk assessment were provided via email.
