Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR), and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSOP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13050 - CCLR s.56(1)(c) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]. Observation: Licensing noted there was no record of an emergency drill being completed for 2021. The staff said it was practiced, however it was not recorded. Corrective Action(s): Ensure a current record is kept respecting compliance with section 22(2)(b)(c) of the CCLR. Date to be Corrected: 08-Jun-2022

At this inspection, the above contravention was identified. The following was discussed: - Attendance records - Emergency management - Policies and procedures - Staffing ratios The inspection report was written off-site, all details were reviewed prior to writing the report.
