Routine inspection conducted of the food store:
-Walk-in-cooler (containing egg cartons, packaged bacon, milk, and packaged cheese) was at or below 4 degrees C (40 degrees F).
-Sandwich display cooler was at or below 4 degrees C (actually at 3.3 degrees C).
-Both of the aforementioned refrigeration units were equipped with built thermometers.
-Fan covers in the walk-in-cooler were in a clean condition.
-Both ice cream freezers, chest freezer in the back room, and upright display freezers containing frozen food were at or below -18 degrees C (0 degrees F).
-No signs of recent pest activity were observed at the time of inspection.
-Chlorine sanitizer (in a powder form) was available for the dispensing equipment on-site.
-QUATS sanitizer was available on-site in a stock bottle near the 2-compartment sink.
-Handsink near the beverage dispensing area and both handsinks in the washrooms were adequately supplied.
-2-compartment sink was supplied with hot and cold running water.
-Mop sink was operational.
-Packaged food products were stored off the floor.

*Note: The operation of a food service establishment (that requires a permit to operate) was not occurring at this location at the time of inspection. This location currently only has health approval from Fraser Health to operate as a food store. If you are planning to make changes, contact the district Environmental Health Officer to apply for health approval and obtain written health approval to operate from the district Environmental Health Officer prior to making any changes.
