Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted on to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA) and the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSOP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection on January 12, 2022 there were 6 children and 1 staff present.
At this inspection no contraventions were identified. No further action is required by the Licensee or the Licensing Officer.

The following discussion was had with the licensee:
- Wipes in the first aid kit contained medicinal ingredients and contains DIN numbers. Please remove or obtain permission for each child enrolled in the program. Licensee decided to remove wipes from the kit.
- Towels are being used in the bathroom, one towel per child hung up all day. Due to Covid, recommendations from licensing are to use single use paper towels, or put towels in laundry after every use.


As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed off site and a copy was provided.
