Routine inspection conducted for a senior's day programme. Facility obtains food for lunch from the nearby Amenida's Care Home and is generally well maintained and operated. The following observations were made:

Temperatures: Domestic fridge at 4C, domestic freezer unit at -14C. Temperature logs are generally well maintained and the last log was taken yesterday, although there are some gaps where no temperature logs were taken. Ensure that temperature logs are taken daily to ensure that all equipment is working correctly
Hot-held items (which are only served during a 20 minute time-frame during lunchtime from 11:50 to 12:10 today) were at 60C at time of inspection
Hand wash station adequately stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels
High-temperature dishwasher sanitizes at a final rinse cycle of 72C at the plate (Minimum: 71C). After lunch service, all used utensils, plates, cups are transported back to Amenida for warewashing. The high-temperature dishwasher cited in this inspection report is only used for cups and plates during morning coffee service
Quaternary ammonium compound sanitizer (QUATS) present in spray bottle and in sanitizing pail at approximately 200 ppm. Remember to follow manufacturer's instructions on proper dilution (8 ml per litre of water)
Utensils (forks, knives, spoons) and plates were stored in good sanitary condition
No signs of recent, visible pest activity
Both staff on duty FoodSafe 1 certified (Expiry: April 19, 2023). FoodSafe 1 certificate provided to EHO at time of inspection
Restroom handsinks adequately stocked and in good sanitary condition
