Observation:
- Fresh seafood is stored in multiple plastic baskets in the display cooler, with no covers or lids, and with metal tongs in the retail area. There are extra fish (salmon) available in styrofoam boxes with ice. This procedure has not been approved by the inspector and the observed practice is not acceptable.
Corrective Action(s):
- Remove all fresh seafood for sales. Operator/staff is unable to demonstrate safe practice of selling fresh seafood. There is no adequate labelling, no physical invoices readily available, no means of food protection/ containment, and no storage space to keep extra seafood in temperature controlled environment. Immediately cease the sales of fresh seafood. Correction Order issued.
