Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19052 - CCLR s.56.1(2)(b) - A Licensee must keep (b) a current record of each person to whom the written agreement is delivered in accordance with that section [CCALA s.19]
Observation: Record of families receiving the repayment agreement was missing from 2 out of the 4 children files that were reviewed.
Corrective Action(s): Please keep record of those whom received the repayment agreement.

Comments

At this inspection, the above noted contravention was identified.

As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed.

The following was discussed:

· One time use for hand towels
· Options for tablecloths

The information contained in the report was discussed with the Director. Due to technical difficulties, the report and risk assessment were written off-site. Licensing advised that copies of the report and risk assessment would be emailed to the facility.
