PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11200 - CCLR s.17 - A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation: During the inspection the following was observed:
- a bottle of children's medication was noted on a low shelf. This was accessible to the children. This could cause a potential poisoning hazard. This was corrected during the inspection.
- two plug covers were missing in the nap room. This could cause a potential electrocution hazard. This was corrected during the inspection.
-a loose cord was noted in the sleep room. This could cause a potential strangulation hazard. This was corrected during the inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure children do not have access to any objects or substances that are hazardous to their health.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13020 - CCLR s.22(1)(b) - A licensee must have all of the following: (b) an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation: During the inspection the fire extinguisher was observed. The expiry date was noted as January 8, 2020. The fire extinguisher display was within the area of fully charged.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the fire extinguisher is up to date to be prepared in a potential emergency.

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation: Licensing reviewed the attendance record for Oct, Nov, Dec and Jan. Multiple departure times were missing on the attendance record. This is a repeat contravention. This was not corrected by the date noted on the routine inspection.

Observation: During the inspection the children's records were reviewed. One child was missing a signed consent to obtain a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of emergency. This is a repeat contravention. This was not corrected by the date noted on the routine inspection.
