Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated September 28, 2021 there were four children and one staff present. Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility.

The following were discussed with the manager:

· Storage of unused children’s bedding
· Storage of plastic bags to prevent access to children
· Storage and cleaning procedures for portable potty
· Manager mentioned gardening tools and two gasoline tanks stored in the front yard will be stored in the garage.

The inspection report was written off-site – details were reviewed with the Manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the routine inspection report and risk assessment sent to manager via email on September 28, 2021. Total time includes writing report in office.
