Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) No sanitizer was prepared in the kitchen at the time of inspection.
2) Cell phone was placed on a work surface/cutting board.
Corrective Action(s): 1) While in operation, facility must have a sanitizer prepared to sanitize food contact surfaces. Quats sanitizer at 200ppm was prepared at the time of inspection.
2) Cell phones must be stored in a designated location to prevent potential cross contamination. Work surface was sanitized at the time of inspection.

302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Chemical dishwasher had no detectable sanitizer.
Corrective Action(s): Chemical dishwasher must have a final rinse of at least 50ppm chlorine on the dish surface to proper sanitizer equipment, utensils, and dishware. Chlorine pail was changed, dishwasher was primed, and tested at 50ppm at the time of inspection. Equipment, utensils, and dishware were washed and sanitized at the time of inspection.

Observation: Upright cooler was at 6C.
Corrective Action(s): Service or adjust cooler and ensure it can maintain 4C or less at all times.

Observation: Sanitizer spray bottle was not labelled.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all containers are properly labelled to identify their contents to prevent accidental mixing and or misuse of chemicals. Once labels fall off, containers must be relabelled.

Comments

-Prep cooler was at 4C (top and bottom).
-Upright freezer was at -15C.
-Handwash station accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-Potentially hazardous foods cooled rapidly in the upright freezer.
-General food storage practices good at the time of inspection. Foods stored in food grade containers, off the floor and covered. Raw meats were stored below ready-to-eat foods.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
-Washroom clean and handwash stations equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-FOODSAFE Level 1 valid until July 20, 2023.
-Please contact the inspector if you have any questions or concerns.
-Operator signature not required at this time due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

COVID-19 Precautions:
-Facility needs to develop a COVID-19 safety plan. Safety plan must be posted online (if applicable) and at the facility. For information on how to develop the COVID-19 safety plan refer to the WorkSafeBC website.
-COVID-19 safety plan must also detail the maximum number of people (patrons and staff) allowed in the facility at one time.
-Facility is currently allowing two booths in the facility at one time, allowing for physical distancing of 2m.
