Introduction

An unscheduled follow up inspection to the Routine Inspection # SWAR-AZVRWE dated June 12th 2018 was conducted. Areas of non-compliance identified at the Routine Inspection were reviewed for compliance.

Licensee/Manager had responded to the coded items in writing.

The following contraventions have been addressed:
11010 - Rubber matting will be replaced during the playground renovation in July 2018. The electric kettle has been removed from the room and replaced with a bottle warmer.
11200 - Plastics bags have been removed in all programs and stored in higher cupboards. The paper cutter was returned to the art room and staff were reminded of providing a healthy and safe environment at all times during a staff meeting. Spray bottles have been labelled and the one in the bathroom was discarded.
15030 - Bathroom hygiene practices are re-affirmed with staff and individual towel hooks will be relocated during closure at the end of August.
19090 - Attendance is complete in all rooms. Written and electronically.
19220/19260 - Care plans have been updated

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #SWAR-AZNRWE have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

No violations were found during the inspection.

On site today was the Manager and the principle to discuss the report.

- Discussion on supervision - Facility received email from Licensing regarding active supervision and reminders to staff.
- Discussion Re: Lead in drinking water. This facility building is 11 years old but a reminder to flush taps.
