Introduction

An unscheduled follow-up inspection to routine Inspection #SMIA-C4PR8S was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP).

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

When licensing arrived outdoor swimming pool was in use. Licensing was informed that the daycare is closed today and the pool is being used by two family members. Manager confirmed that the pool is not being used by children enrolled in the facility. Manager is considering using the pool next year during summer. Licensing discussed the referral and approval process by the Environmental Health Officer with the manager. Manager will contact licensing if she decides to proceed with the referral process. The inspection report was written off-site – details were reviewed with the manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the follow-up inspection report sent to manager via email on July 15, 2021.
