Observation: Few rodent droppings noted in the following areas:
- Aisle 6, 7, 8 & 9
- Under bulk bin shelving units
- Corners and along the walls
Corrective Action(s): - Ensure that the facility is kept free of pests to prevent the risk of potential food contamination from rodent urine & feces.
- Remove rodent droppings on regular basis and disinfect the affected areas with 1 part bleach to 9 part water solution. Use proper PPE during cleaning.
- Assign staff to monitor for new pest activity.
- Notify your Pest Control Company about areas with new pest activity.
- Seal any gap/hole that could be a potential entry point.

Comments

Follow up to routine and subsequent follow up inspections (report #TGIL-CF7NR8, #TGIL-CJ8U47, #TGIL-CLMP48, #TGIL-CNVTTF, #TGIL-CSQUBU).

Joint inspection conducted with new district EHO.

Findings:
- Facility has conducted deep cleaning and removed rodent droppings resulted from any previous rodent activity.
- Bottom shelves of the shelving units have been removed to monitor for new rodent activity and to assist with frequent cleaning. Good
- Regular cleaning and monitoring has been conducted to identify the problematic areas.
- New traps have been placed throughout the facility.
- Seals have been installed under the doors to prevent entry.
- Overhead doors in the receiving area were closed at the time of inspection. Sign has been posted to ensure staff does not leave them open.
- Facility has been actively working with the pest control company to address this issue.
- Reports from pest control company were verified by the EHO.

Overall, huge improvement noted. Good job!

Action required:
- Please continue following the current practices and email the pest control reports to your new district EHO unless advised otherwise.

CORRECTION ORDER issued on February 9, 2023 has been rescinded.
