Observation: - Mouse droppings noted on back of lowest shelf where chocolate bars are displayed in Aisle 1. No damaged food product noted. Manager reported this may be from past issues.
Corrective Action(s): - Clean up droppings and sanitize shelf. Notify Pest Control Technician for monitoring and control measures to be applied to this area (if deemed current rodent activity). Ensure employees stocking shelves are aware to be aware of any signs of rodent activity and to notify appropriate person for cleaning and sanitizing to be completed promptly.
- Provide most recent copy of Pest Control service report to EHO.

Observation: - Miscellaneous items, debris and grime present on floor under produce sink and prep table

Comments

- General sanitation of retail portion of store and back storage areas were satisfactory with the exception of produce prep area (noted in violation above)
- Liquid soap and paper towel present at handwashing sink in produce prep area and at sink in bulk foods area (back of store)
- Quats food contact surface sanitizer at 200ppm present in produce prep area and bulk foods area (back of store)
- Dishwasher used for bulk foods department was operational and in use for cleaning and sanitizing bulk foods scoops. Final rinse measured 79.9C at dish surface.

Temperature controls:
- Produce walk-in cooler 2C
- Dairy walk-in cooler 1C
- Grocery walk-in freezer -14C
- Retail display coolers were 4C or colder
- Retail display freezers were -18C or colder

- Pest Control contract is in place. Frequency of pest control service is increased when pest activity present.

*Ensure routine schedule is in place for thorough cleaning of floor under bulk foods shelving (which is not on wheels) to prevent accumulation of food debris. Some spilled food debris was noted to be collecting around legs of shelving.
